Cookies are a favorite treat for all kids. There is nothing quite like dipping a fresh-baked cookie into a frosty glass of milk. Many people grow up in families that enjoy cookies on special occasions. I remember when I was a kid. I enjoyed making delicious chocolate chip cookies with my grandmother. The process of making cookies was nearly as rewarding as the final product.
From Cook Jar to Gift Box
During my childhood, I enjoyed reaching into a full cookie jar to grab a delicious looking homemade cookie. Our cookie jar was always full. Looking back, I was a pretty lucky child. After my grandmother passed on, our cookie jar wasn’t filled so often with homemade cookies. Luckily, my parents frequently brought home tins of cookies from the store. It didn’t take long for these store bought jars to accumulate. One day when my mother was doing some spring cleaning, she set aside nearly fifty cookie jars that had accumulated over the years.
My mom set our many cookie jars aside for recycling. However, I thought these jars and tins were beautiful and I wanted to keep them. My parents allowed it, and these became the first of my many collectible cookie jars. I now had a new purpose in life. I decided to add to my collection every chance I got. Soon my relatives began donating collectible cookie jars to me. My collection grew every month.
I started out storing my collectible cookie jars in my room. Unfortunately, my collection quickly outgrew this space. Luckily, my father offered to make me a beautiful display case for my jars. This allowed me to continue expanding my collection. It didn’t take long before I had hundreds of collectible cookie jars. They were made of an astounding array different materials: plastic, metal, tin, paper, and glass. The collection became quite impressive.
It didn’t take long for my collection to become well known. Kids from my school knew about it. My relatives and neighbors came to our house to see it. A friend of mine fell in love with one of my collectible cookie jars and offered to buy it for a few dollars. I agreed and she used it as a beautiful gift box. Soon other people began to buy cookie jars from me.
Suddenly my collectible cookie jars started making me money. Through the sales of my jars, I began making hundreds of dollars. This gave me an idea. I decided to start selling gift boxes. I already had an amazing collection of different gift boxes. Soon I started selling even more. Before long I had my own small business.
